We are excited to announce we have access through our partners to secure direct service by container ship to and from Mexico from our Florida warehouse locations. This service will provide both Refrigerated Container and Ambient Container Service to Mexico and directly into the center of the Mexican economy.
Time Frame and Cost
Currently 90% of the container service going to Mexico is by truck across the Gulf Coast States to the border of Laredo, TX. This trucking can run between 2-3 days depending on the amount of stops, traffic, delays, etc. That is just to the border of Texas and Mexico. Then you have to switch to a Mexican carrier (usually not always) and get to the most populated regions of Mexico. Likewise on the return trip if you are trying to get goods from Mexico to the US you have the follow the same route with possible delays and problems.
